Joakim Reveman

Biography

Joakim Reveman is a director known best for his award-winning campaigns, documentaries and art installations. Reveman was born in Sweden and studied visual arts in Germany. Upon his graduation and at a ripe age of 25, he won his first Cannes Gold Lion for ‘Medecins sans frontieres’ and started his advertising career as a creative director for TBWA Paris. With the trust of his mentors, he began to direct his own projects and gained instant success with a science fiction b- movie style campaign for Amora Hot Ketchup. This campaign won 2 Silver Cannes Lions and in the same year, Reveman’s work was honored at the Saatchi & Saatchi New Director‘s Showcase at Cannes. Since then Reveman has taken on a diverse range of projects. He has written and directed a 35-minute documentary titled “Rampenfest“ for BMW, giving him further recognition as a dialogue comedy director. More recently, Reveman has worked on global campaigns for Cadbury, ESPN, Nike, o2, SEAT, 13th Street and Gillette. Reveman’s love and dedication to traditional & non-traditional advertising campaigns, showcase his unique sensitivity for the cast and film craft. He resides and works in Berlin with his wife.
