In his heart, Alex is a gangster. Always has been, always will be. It’s the magic of all those gangster movies he used to watch as a kid with his three brothers that convinced him to become a gangster - well close enough: a filmmaker. Starting early on to work for various film productions in Munich and L.A., he naturally enrolled at the Filmacademy Baden-Württemberg to study direction, and then pursued theatre direction at the prestigious Central Saint Martin’s College in London. And his talent didn’t go unnoticed. You’ve seen his work at the Young Director Award, the New York International Film Festival or maybe the Los Angeles International Festival? No wonder. People all over the place dig it when Alex creates his cinematic universe both in his commercial and feature film works. He’s a story-teller with strong visuals and emotional depth who loves pushing his actors for sincere and authentic performances. But who are we kidding? First and foremost, he stayed gangster at heart.
