Ralph Baiker

Ralph was born 1966 in Filderstadt in the southern part of Germany. After his vocational training as a printer, he studied photography in Dortmund under prof. Heiner Welham, prof. Gisela Scheidler, prof. Gosbert Adler and prof. Joachim Brohm. A one-year traineeship at Gaukler Studios (large studio with focus on car and truck photography) and many years as production manager with Jochen Manz and other photographers completed his training. Since 2000, he has worked on his own photo assignments, and since 2003 he has had his own studio based in Hamburg. He specializes in staging people in narrative and emotional still photography. In recent years he has also been developing his very own fashion imagery and expanding his film work portfolio successfully. Ralph is teaching regular photography at the Beijing normal university in Zhuhai, China.
